Developing a Public Safety GIS Enterprise System

Please join MAGTUG for an informational webinar on September 12th at 2:00pm edt, presented by Grant Ervin, Public Safety GIS Program Manager at the City of Philadelphia, and Andrew Smart, Senior GIS Analyst with geographIT.

The City of Philadelphia, Deputy Mayor’s Office of Public Safety, has spent the last 2 years building a state of the art Public Safety GIS Enterprise Environment.  The environment is responsible for the geospatial functionality of the Philadelphia RealTime Crime, Delaware Valley Intelligence Center in addition to meeting the daily public safety needs of the City of Philadelphia.  The 24 physical server environment is mostly Esri-based utilizing ArcGIS Server and ArcSDE with Microsoft SQL Server as the RDBMS.  Applications are published to users using Flex, Silverlight, Java, and HTML5.  A number of additional third party and internal software packages are also based within the environment for both strategic and predictive analysis.
