The next MAGTUG meeting will be held May 19th, 10am to 3pm, at the Commonwealth Technology Center, Center 1 Technology Park, Harrisburg, PA (lat: 40.287891, long: -76.877682) Parking is available, but carpooling by attendees is encouraged.
The focus of the meeting will be Geospatial Data and Application Development at PennDOT. Proposed topics include:
– Local Road Network Development
– LRS (Linear Referencing System)
– PA Local Asset Data Collection
– PA View on MAP-21
– Other GIS application development (e.g., Signals)
– Q & A for PennDOT
Representatives from the City of Harrisburg, PA Turnpike, the PA County Pros, and the PA Office of Administration have also been invited.
A detailed agenda will be posted in a subsequent mailing.
The meeting will be of particular interest to local agencies interested in using PennDOT generated or assemble data, those concerned with local implementation of MAP-21, and those concerned with best practices in geospatial application development.
Lunch will kindly be provided free to registered participants by Bentley Corp., who will demonstrate their 3D subsurface utility design and engineering application.
